Melody A. Larsen grew up in a small town in western Nevada, where she spent her childhood on the family dairy farm. From an early age, she helped with farm chores and learned the art of baking at her mother’s side, watching as she created stunning wedding cakes. Inspired by her upbringing, Melody baked her first wedding cake for a customer before even graduating high school. With a lifelong dream of owning a bakery, Melody and her husband made that vision a reality by opening Sassy’s Cafe & Bakery. Her incredible talent has earned her national recognition, winning several challenges during her appearance on Food Network’s, Holiday Baking Championship Season 2 and competing on Bake It Like Buddy.

Beyond the kitchen, Melody is a proud mother of three sons and a beloved “LaLa” to her growing family of grandchildren. Her passion for teaching and shaping young minds is the inspiration behind her children’s book series. Through her stories, Melody hopes to encourage kids to dream big, embrace kindness, and believe in themselves.
